The space I am writing is the space designated “artist statement” for my website. At this point in my life and artistic career I find it hard to come up with a statement that will somehow sum up and categorize my self and style. But, here is a little about who I am, and what I’m creating at this point in my life.

I was born and raised in Nashua, NH, and I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY. In high school I found great solace in art, and often times used art as an excuse to become the recluse I wanted to be. While in high school I took some additional drawing classes at the Art Institute of Boston. In college, at the University of New Hampshire, I studied literature, and took as many art classes as my schedule would allow. I painted as much as possible, and continue to do so.

I have had shows in Durham and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Santiago, Chile, and New York City. I’m currently working on the Coney Island Series as well as my Bugle series. Both series stem from very different inspirations.

I paint what I am drawn to emotionally, theoretically, and intrinsically.
